Making muddy art – free family workshop at Turf Gallery, Aug 6

Family art dayTurf Gallery is staging a free, fun family art workshop for all ages from five years old upwards next Saturday, August 6. from noon to 2pm.

Using mud, leaves and plants around us as art materials, this artist-led workshop will show you how to create your own painting tools to take home and get experimental with plant printmaking.

“Mix your own mud-paint and build a paintbrush to take home, then use these tools to make a giant painting!

“We’ll also try different methods of printmaking, using leaves of all different shapes and sizes to make screen-prints and mono-prints,” the organisers say.

This workshop is completely free to attend and all materials are provided. All are welcome to come and have a go, though not suitable for under-fives.
