Stanley’s Film Club, the cinema arm of the arts offering at Stanley Halls in South Norwood, has launched a membership scheme this month to coincide with the start of regular weekly screenings.
The organisers say, “For a limited time we are offering exclusive discounted memberships to existing subscribers to the Film Club mailing list. To become a Stanley’s Film Club ‘Trailblazer’ and save up to £8 on full membership, join up before September 23.”
The benefits of membership include two free tickets (which are worth £16 in savings alone ), plus £2 off each cinema ticket you book for the next 12 months, a 10 per cent discount in the Gallery Bar (potentially the biggest saving of the lot… hic!), priority bookings, and further discounts on other activities at the Halls.
All this for just £28 per year, or £22 for concessions (terms and conditions apply).

Bette Davis is Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?
Robert Aldrich’s 1962 classic is a nerve-rattling psychological thriller which stars arch-rivals Joan Crawford and Bette Davis.
The screening comes ahead of the South London Theatre’s production of Bette and Joan at the Stanley Halls later this month, and the film will be followed by a Q&A with cast and crew, who will share valuable insights on the film and developing the stage production.
