BearDog presents Do You Mind?, Spread Eagle Theatre, Nov 4

BearDog is thrilled to be bringing their show Do You Mind? to Croydon’s Spread Eagle Theatre next month.

Do You Mind? is a one-woman show that borrows elements of puppetry and storytelling to explore anxiety and how it can affect the relationships that many people take for granted, balancing the feel of a solo stand-up show with the depth of theatre to create a piece that can both entertain an audience and allow them room to consider their own emotions.

Although mental illness awareness is growing, especially awareness of depression, there is still more to be done. Anxiety disorders make up a large proportion of the diagnosed mental health disorders across the world (8.2 million cases were diagnosed in the UK in 2013). Do You Mind? is one of the few shows that directly addresses the experience of living with one of these disorders.

Do You Mind? is a genuinely autobiographical piece that invites the audience into the mind-set of someone who second guesses every choice, and allows them to laugh at the situations that can spring from it.

Do You Mind? is being performed by Joni-Rae Carrack and directed by Calum Anderson and is being presented at The Spread Eagle on November 4 at 7.30pm.
