A South Croydon restaurant is to dedicate performances of Christmas carols for its diners next Thursday to the memory of the seven victims of the Sandilands tram crash earlier this month.
Little Bay is the extraordinarily decorated restaurant in South Croydon which offers outstandingly good food at terrific value prices. During December, it is offering its diners something a little special this Christmas: a carol service.
Little Bay regularly hosts live performances of opera and folk classics free-of-charge to diners on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings amid its theatrical décor.
Peter Ilic, the restaurant group owner, said: “We’re very excited. It has never been done before here in Croydon. We hope to bring some extra festive cheer after what has been a difficult year for many.”
“Whilst now is the season of joy and good cheer, we are still reeling from the tragic tram accident at Sandilands earlier this month in which seven dear friends lost their lives. We have decided to dedicate our first evening of performances to their memory.”
Christmas Carol performances are set to be held every Thursday evening during December, beginning on December 1.
