First on the track will be Croydon’s Vice Squad who secured multiple victories in 2016 against the likes of Dublin Roller Derby C, Stuttgart’s Bad Seeds and Rainy City’s Bet Lynch Mob. Vice will be going head-to-head with Hamburg’s B Team.

The organisers’ press release states: “Next up, Croydon’s Riot Squad will strap on their skates and take to the track against Harbor Girls A. The home double-header marks the start of Riot’s first full WFTDA season” (WTAF does that mean? Ed).

Doors open at 1.30pm, and the event runs until 6pm at the Croydon team’s base at The Dolphin Leisure Centre, Pasture Hill Road, Haywards Heath, West Sussex RH16 1LY

Nearest train station: Haywards Heath. Parking is available at the leisure centre, with an After party at The Star pub, 1 Broadway, Haywards Heath.
