If you’re getting out and about in Croydon’s open spaces and woodlands in the coming weeks, the London Wildlife Trust is offering free birdwatching guides to help you identify those feathered friends that you might see – or hear.
Birdwatching can be done almost anywhere, and there’s nothing more satisfying than being able to identify what you spot.
“If you are new to birdwatching, our free kit will help you get started with identifying the birds you are likely to see in London,” the Trust says.
The free kit includes:
- A PDF guide with tips on what you might need and how to start
- 10 birds you can spot in London including defining features, where to spot them and what to listen out for
- A printable spotting sheet you can take with you!
