Join iC’s 3 lucky winners at Mozart Players’ Changing Seasons

Congratulations to loyal readers Paul Ainscough, Ian Anderson and David White: all three have won a pair of tickets – worth £65 – for the London Mozart Players’ Changing Seasons concert at the Fairfield Halls on Saturday, February 15.

The concert is a new multi-genre spectacular from Croydon’s resident orchestra, created as a reflection on the climate emergency and its impact on our future.

When Vivaldi wrote his Four Seasons in 1723, the world was a different place.

As nature continues to inspire art, Vivaldi’s piece remains popular and still has a place in today’s society, as this London Mozart Players concert will strive to demonstrate. This exciting production mixes Vivaldi’s classic with new commissions from four talented local arts groups.

Working with professional composers Fiona Brice and Sarah Freestone, four community groups – Club Soda, Croydon Music and Arts, Queer Croydon x Stanley Arts and Subrang Arts – will perform their unique pieces which have been inspired by the seasonal themes in Vivaldi’s music.

“These new works respond to our changing world, creating a fusion of genres and artforms that culminate in a spectacular performance at Fairfield Halls,” the concert producers say.

Complete with new poetry, dance performances and engaging video content to introduce each artist, Changing Seasons is an accessible and proudly Croydon-made performance suitable for audiences of all ages.

Tickets for the concert, LMP’s first at Fairfield Halls in 2025, are on sale now – just click here to visit the ticketing site. Discounts are available for those on Universal or Pension Credit and for those under 30.

The competition was open only to fully paid-up patrons of Inside Croydon, one of the range of benefits of paying a modest monthly or discounted annual subscription that is so vital in helping Inside Croydon continue to publish its journalism.

Loyal readers Paul, Ian and David all correctly answered our Vivaldi-themed question which asked how many versions of the Four Seasons have been recorded. The answer is more than 1,000.

We’ll be having more exclusive premium content for our subscribers coming up later this month, plus priority-booking for events, discount offers and more great giveaway competitions throughout 2025.
