There’s a new dining experience coming to central Croydon next month, when Tokia Square opens for business.
Tokia Square is described as “a dynamic food court offering an extraordinary selection of Asian cuisines, from sushi and hotpot to BBQ, Thai food, Indian dishes, and more”.
Chinese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese and Singaporean food, plus bubble tea, are all expected to be on offer when Tokia Square opens in Grants on March 2.
From the visuals presented online and via Tokia Square’s Insta account, it has the look of a Boozepark – there is a bar area, and seating and tables throughout the food hall – but better presented and curated.

Asian vibes: the owners have done a lot of work to create the right atmosphere at Tokia Square’s new food hall
“Tokia Square is designed to bring a unique culinary experience to Croydon, combining authentic flavours with a modern, vibrant atmosphere,” according to the owners.
“Whether you’re a fan of classic sushi, crave something spicy like Sichuan hotpot, or want to enjoy a refreshing bubble tea, Tokia Square is sure to be your new go-to food destination.”
They call it a “celebration of culinary diversity”.
The owners say: “We’ve worked closely with expert chefs to deliver authentic flavours and high-quality ingredients.
“From the contemporary design to the exciting energy of the food stalls, every visit will feel like a true adventure in Asian cuisine.”

Finally some good news! They invested a lot of money and seem to be very professional….exactly what Croydon needs. Not some cheap tat shops or beauty or barber shops.. Finally. Take note Westfield!
Does anyone know whats actually going on with this. As of today (03/03/2025) its either really really well hidden or not open?
You’re right. We had a stroll past. No sign of life. And no replies from their PR agency or on their website.
