Any cars left parked on Sanderstead Hill on four days next week risk receiving a hefty fine or even having the vehicle towed away.

Roadworks: Conways will have Sanderstead Hill closed off for most of next week
That’s the warning issued to residents ahead of Conways starting resurfacing work on the road on Monday, September 22, on a stretch from Sanderstead Road to the roundabout at Rectory Park and Addington Road.
Resurfacing works are expected to last three days, while gulleys clearance work will take place on Thursday, September 25.
Sanderstead Hill will be closed during the works, as will, at times, all roads leading into Sanderstead Hill.
Works will take place between 8am and 5pm each day.

Warning letter: how the council has advised residents living in Sanderstead.
According to a notice letter from the council sent to residents, on-street parking will be suspended during work hours: 7.30am to 5pm on September 22 to September 25.
“Please note that penalty charge notices (PCNs) will be applied to vehicles parked within the suspended areas during works hours and/or vehicles relocated,” the letter from Croydon Council warns.
The contractors also request vehicle access to properties adjacent to the road is “kept to a minimum”.
There is a diversion route in both directions via Rectory Park, Mitchley Avenue, Downs Court Road, Godstone Road, Brighton Road and Sanderstead Road.
