In tune: Inside Croydon readers can save money on their tickets when booking to see the next London Mozart Players’ concert at the Fairfield Halls
Inside Croydon is delighted to announce that, thanks to the London Mozart Players, our readers can enjoy a special discount on the price of tickets for their much-anticipated performance of JS Bach’s St John Passion at the Fairfield Halls on Sunday, March 8.
Using the iC exclusive discount code, readers can make savings of more than £4 on their tickets, which are available to book now for between £10 (for under-30s) and £43.50.
The London Mozart Players is the oldest, freshest and most adventurous chamber orchestra in the country. And they are Croydon’s classical orchestra, based at the Fairfield Halls and with a worldwide reputation for outstanding, innovative and accessible performance.
And the LMP’s discount for Inside Croydon readers make them even more accessible!
The St John Passion is the first of several concerts that the LMP will be performing at their home venue throughout 2026.
Johann Sebastian Bach’s St John Passion is a powerful exploration of what it means to be human – an emotional retelling of Christ’s final hours that speaks as deeply today as it did 300 years ago.
The LMP says: “Originally written for Good Friday, and filled with hymns familiar to Bach’s congregation in Leipzig, St John Passion connects with our sense of universal humanity through music which is full of heartbreak, beauty and reflection.
“Listeners can turn to Bach to make sense of suffering and find solace in a world that can be cruel.
“Bach teaches us find peace and understanding through the promise of resurrection, rather than dwelling on the pain Christ endured.”
The London Mozart Players’ performance of Bach’s St John Passion is in the Concert Hall at the Fairfield Halls at 4.30pm on Sunday March 8.
