It is not just the Royal Academy that has a summer exhibition. South London’s own summer art exhibition opens today.

Bigger Picture Gallery, at the top of Anerley Hill at Crystal Palace, is running the exhibition in its gallery through until the end of August, with £500 in cash prizes, all sponsored by the SG Smith car dealership, to be shared among the top six entries from entries submitted by the public.

A wide variety of work by both established and emerging local artists in all media, including painting, printmaking, photography, and sculpture, is on display from June 5 to August 31.
