Ibis re-opens Norfolk Hotel on London Road

At least there’s one new business opened in the north of Croydon, with the overhaul and re-branding of the Norfolk Hotel, opposite Mayday Hospital near Thornton Heath.

Multi-national French hotel chain Accor, which runs more than 4,400 hotels in 92 countries, this week opened the old Norfolk as an “ibis Styles” hotel, close to where some of the worst of the 8/8 rioting took place last year.

Operating as a mid-budget hotel both the foyer and rooms have been refurbished in a modern, “boutique” style.

Big beds, large soft duvets, wi-fi and all you can eat breakfasts are on offer.

  1. This is a good news in my opinion. I find Accor hotels consistently good all over the world. “Ibis Styles” is the brand Accor used to market as Allseasons hotels.
