A holocaust memorial concert, an evening of remembrance and entertainment, is being held at Ruskin House in Coombe Road this Saturday.

The concert will honour those communities who were persecuted in the Holocaust, under Nazi persecution in the 1930s and 1940s, and in later genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.
The holocaust memorial event comes on a weekend when the annual Holocaust Memorial Day aims to “Build a Bridge” this year to bring communities together with the aim of working towards a society that is respectful of everyone.
Two candles will be lit for 24 hours – one for Memorial Day and one in memory of Malcolm Wicks, who as Croydon North’s MP was a regular guest and speaker at these events.
There is an extensive bill with Balalaika, Slavyanya, Russian Children’s Choir, International Men of Mystery, Red Mamaloshe and Bart Wolffe providing the entertainment.
Admission is just £2 for the concert that starts at 8pm.
