Ever fancied going to one of those posh summer garden parties, but never received the invite?
Then get along next Saturday to Ruskin House, where the 23rd annual Folk and Blues Festival offers a family-friendly day, and evening, with at least 11 hours of live music and dance, plus a barbeque and real ales.
There will be acts from around the world, including a locally based troupe of Russian dancers, plus Scottish pipers.
There will also be a range of other stalls and attractions, including a ubiquitous bouncy castle.
This year, the festival is raising funds for the restoration fund for Ruskin House, the large and elegant Georgian townhouse on Coombe Road which is need of some repair.
- The Folk and Blues Festival at Ruskin House, Coombe Road, CR0 1BD, begins at noon on Saturday, July 13, and runs until 11pm. Entry costs just £3, though accompanied children get in for free
