Dig into the fascinating history of the Crystal Palace subway

The Norwood’s Society’s next history talk takes place at Upper Norwood Library on Thursday June 18, from 7.30pm, when the subject will be the Crystal Palace subway.

Crystal Palace Subway Open House Event-14This remaining splendour of the original Crystal Palace is explained by Stephen Oxford, who undertook much of the research of the subway’s history as a member of the Subway Project.

He will also reveal the future plans for this structure.

Upper Norwood Library is at 39-41 Westow Hill, Upper Norwood, SE19 1TJ.

There is no charge for the talks, but attendees are asked to make a donation to help cover the cost of the refreshments which are provided.
