Signs of the times: notices go up of ticket office closures

Where “modernising” actually means staff cuts, cost-cutting and questionable levels of on-going service.

When modernising means job cutsThe notices have gone up in Thornton Heath and the other 10 stations across Croydon and Sutton where ticket offices face closure, to be replaced by “Station Hosts”.
