An app for smart phones and tablets, and with its service available online, is offering quick and easy access to booking local sports facilities.

MyLocalPitch has recently introduced a bespoke page for Croydon.

MyLocalPitch’s borough pages help everyone in the area easy access to the available local sports facilities, from golf courses to basketball courts, full-sized and five-a-side football pitches to tennis clubs.

Since the dedicated page went live in January, there has been a surge of page visits for the 42 venues in the borough listed on MyLocalPitch.

MyLocalPitch is the only app to provide a search and booking facility for grassroots sports, wherever you might be in the capital, a simple product that allows users to find and book sport on the move. It also provides facility managers a convenient way for their venue to attract new bookings.

The app lets users compare prices, search for their favourite surfaces and book venues. The app also allows users to use geo-location to search for a sports venue wherever they might be.

MyLocalPitch was launched in January 2014 by Jamie Foale and Sandford Loudon to enable people to search and book sports venues online.

MyLocalPitch works with providers of sports venues in London and Dublin who offer some of the finest pitches, courts and other sports facilities.

The company provides booking software and marketing services for sports venues as well as providing a web and mobile platform for sports players to search and book pitches.

MyLocalPitch is constantly expanding and has partnered with the largest venue operators in London, including PowerLeague, Fusion and Greenwich Leisure. There are 15 sports available through the site with thousands of active users enjoying access to more than 4,000 pitches and courts on the database.

The MyLocalPitch app launched in November. It is built for iOS 9 and enables users to search and book sports venues on the move to further simplify the process. Since inception there have been more than 14,000 bookings placed.
