South Croydon Allotments annual open day, Aug 13

South Croydon Allotments is staging its annual open day on Saturday August 13.

crow man.This year’s event is raising money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Open from 9.30am to 1.30pm, the allotment society invites you to, “Come and visit our site and see how fresh veg and fruit are grown.”

There will be allotment displays and lots of produce for sale, including fruit and vegetables, jams, chutneys and preserves, cakes and flowers for sale, a Bric A Brac stall, refreshments and a Sausage Sizzle (sponsored by Bashford & Co), plus a scarecrow and photo competitions.

South Croydon Allotments are a short walk from South Croydon Bus Garage, Sanderstead and Purley Oaks Stations.

Royal Marsden logoEntrances from Sanderstead Road at Broomhall Road junction, or next to the Business Park in Carlton Road. Parking is available.
