  1. Eric Nash says:

The video is familiar to me, although I only started work at Croydon College (as it became) in 1970. A number of those involved in making the film were still at the College, along with many people who feature in it. Sadly, the soundtrack seems to have disappeared. Does anyone have a version with a soundtrack?

  2. Ms Gisela Wrest says:

My stepfather David Brown did the commentary to this video. He died in 2009. If anyone can provide a version with the soundtrack it would be so comforting to hear his voice again. I never knew this video existed until a friend emailed it to me day following the news about the Queen. We have a picture of David on top of our piano meeting the Queen and Prince Philip at the Opening of Croydon College.

I was given the day off from school to watch. Norbury Manor Junior School. I remember getting a standing spot at the front near Stanford Road. A wonderful day. Yes the words would have been great.
