This Easter, Centrale and Whitgift shopping centres in Croydon town centre will be hosting a roster of interactive activities for families – and helping to raise funds for a local arts charity.

Wall challenge: the free climbing wall is one of a range of activities in the Whitgift Centre and Centrale from Apr 1
From April 1 to 5, you and the family can jump into the festivities as you explore a range of exciting experiences. Dance to your heart’s content at a free Hip Hop Silent Disco, located in Centrale (opposite House of Fraser) where Bunny, the Easter-themed Hip-Hop DJ, will be providing the music. All ages are welcome to join in the fun, with Easter Egg prizes awaiting the most impressive dancers.
You can also leap to new heights on the Bungee Trampolines, located in the Whitgift (opposite Superdry). “Hop on for a memorable experience where you can effortlessly jump and somersault, all while securely harnessed,” the organisers say.
There’s also a Climbing Wall which you can find in the Whitgift (opposite River Island) – suitable to novices and experienced climbers alike. “It’s an adventure waiting to be conquered by those brave enough to try!”
And everyone can be a winner with a free turn at Fish 4 Chicks – an Easter twist on the classic Hook a Duck fairground game (opposite Sports Direct).

Don’t duck out: there will be prizes for anyone who can hook an Easter chick
The Easter activities at Centrale and the Whitgift Centre are being staged in partnership with Stanley Arts, the South Norwood-based community arts group, with an opportunity at each activity in the shopping malls to donate to the charity.
This is the latest local partnership of the Centrale and Whitgift which has seen them work with charities and organisations which give back and support the local community.
The event organisers say, “Mark your calendars and join us at Centrale and Whitgift for an Easter extravaganza filled with laughter, games, plenty of prizes, and boundless fun for all!”
