Five Guys opens second Croydon restaurant at Valley Park

Coming to a retail park near you: Five Guys have opened at Valley Park today

The Five Guys burger chain has today opened its second restaurant in Croydon, at Croydon Valley Leisure Park.

American-based business Five Guys launched in Britain in 2013 in Covent Garden. They already have a restaurant in Croydon town centre, on Croydon High Street.

Five Guys prides itself on using the freshest ingredients, and customers can find out which local farm the potatoes have come from by checking out its restaurants’ notice boards. Five Guys burgers are grilled to order, while the fries are hand-cut every morning and cooked in peanut oil.

Smart service: Five Guys are known for their generous servings

“We’re delighted to be bringing our famous burgers and fries to Croydon Valley Leisure Park,” said John Eckbert, Five Guys UK’s chief exec.

“We can’t wait to welcome shoppers and local residents to our new restaurant.”

With 15 free toppings to choose from, customers have over 250,000 possible burger order combinations. So, whether you’re in the mood for a cheeseburger, an all-beef hot dog or even a bunless lettuce-wrapped burger, the choice is yours.

The portions are always generous, with their salted or cajun fries known for being served with an extra scoop in the bag.

Five Guys are also known for their milkshakes, ranging from Oreo, fresh strawberries and even bacon!

I think it’s a bit sad for people to get excited about businesses, and particularly imported over-priced burger joints… but I have to admit I think Five Guys are one of the tastiest of the current crop of expensive burger places. We don’t order takeaway from their Croydon restaurant anymore (as parking nearby has been made impossible, even for 20mins on Saturday night), so interesting that there’s another option!

Couldn’t agree more. Croydon just isn’t really accessible by car. This is going to make it so much easier! Great in theory………..not so great for the waist or wallet 🙂

  2. Fine dining? Junk food, more like it, a heart attack in a bag, which will soon be dumped in the gutter next to the car whose occupants purchased this mix of deep-fried fat and mechanically-recovered meat
