Police have arrested a 20-year-old man identified as being from Croydon on suspicion of the murder on a Bournemouth beach last Friday of Amie Gray.

Murder scene: the beach near Bournemouth pier was cordoned off after the double stabbing on Friday night
Dorset Police had previously released CCTV of a man dressed in a black hoodie close to the scene of the stabbing just before midnight on May 24.
Two women, both from Poole, were stabbed on Durley Chine Beach at around 11.45pm that night.
Amie Gray, a 34-year-old personal trainer, died at the scene, while a 38-year-old woman with serious injuries remains in hospital.
“Following extensive enquiries, a 20-year-old man from the Croydon area of London has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder,” the police announced last night.
Detective Superintendent Richard Dixey of Dorset Police said last night: “The investigation has progressed at speed over recent days, which has now led to an arrest being made in London.
“Officers from Dorset Police intelligence and firearms teams worked together with colleagues from the Metropolitan Police to carry out the arrest.
“We are continuing to update the loved ones of the woman who tragically died, as well as the victim in hospital, with all the latest developments and our thoughts remain with them.

Wanted for questioning: Dorset Police released the CCTV images of a man wanted in connection with the stabbings
“I would like to thank everyone so far who has provided information and reiterate my appeal for any witnesses who have not already come forward to please contact Dorset Police.
“The enhanced visible policing presence in the area will remain in place and we would continue to strongly encourage anyone with concerns to please not hesitate to speak to any officer who will be able to listen and provide appropriate advice.”
Police have continued to conduct searches of the beach and nearby cliff-top area of the south coast resort, which remained cordoned off as a crime scene for much of the bank holiday weekend.
On Sunday, police issued CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in a bid to prompt witnesses to come forward.
A 17-year-old boy from Lancashire, arrested on suspicion of murder in the hours after the attack, has since been released without charge.
