Man arrested after South Croydon stabbing; victim is ‘stable’

The Metropolitan Police has made an arrest in connection with the stabbing in Heathfield Road, South Croydon, on Saturday night which left a 22-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.

The Met says that the victim’s condition is unchanged, although he is now “stable” in hospital.

The incident led to St Peter’s churchyard being cordoned off throughout most of Sunday.

Today, the Met released a statement to Inside Croydon which said, “One man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and bailed.”
