Popular venue: the Market Tavern, where Craft Union spent more than £300,000 on its refurb eight years ago
A pub company is celebrating its 10th anniversary tomorrow where the drinks will be on them – for a limited period, terms and conditions apply, etc and so forth…
On Wednesday, May 14, Craft Union is giving away 10,000 free drinks in its pubs across the country, as well as paying 10p to a designated good cause for each drink bought at its pubs on the day, and running a prize draw with £10,000 on offer to a lucky winner.
The participating locals include the Market Tavern on Surrey Street, Bromley’s Chatterton Arms, The Crown on Sutton High Street, and The Star, Manor Road, Wallington.
They will offer a pint of Birra Moretti, a Gordons gin and tonic, or a “Coca-Cola-supplied soft drink” for each customer’s freebie. One per customer, natch.
“It’s our 10-year anniversary and we’re throwing a party you won’t want to miss!” the company says. Every Craft Union pub across the country is “raising a glass to a decade of good times, great drinks and unbeatable community spirit”.
To enter the £10,000 giveaway, you will need to purchase any of the following drinks: Heineken, Heineken 0.0%, Birra Moretti, Old Mout Cider, or Brixton Reliance IPA. “Be sure to keep your receipt, as you’ll need it to enter” on the company’s online entry form. And you guessed it, you can enter as many times as you like with separate receipts for “each qualifying purchase!”.
The free booze offer is available “while stocks last”, with each pub allocated an amount of free drinks to give away. They have a lot of pubs, so the allocation to each venue might be quite limited, so probably best if you don’t wait until after work.
