STEVE NORTH’s images capture some of the drama, and the impressive set design, for Theatre Workshop Coulsdon’s production of Animal Farm

Coulsdon’s Animal Farm: ‘The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which’. George Orwell wrote his book in 1945

Design classic: Theatre Workshop Coulsdon’s set for Animal Farm in the woods of the Coulsdon Manor Hotel and golf course is impressive

Knocking heads together: Snowball/Trotsky/Dan Carr and Napoleon/Stalin/Richard Lloyd confront each other for dominance as Squealer/Molotov/Shcherbakov/Anya Destiney looks on

Betrayed: horses Boxer/Mike Brown) and Clover/Hannah Montgomery react to the destruction of the windmill
