Phil Lewis is a South Croydon-based photo-journalist whose work has taken him around the globe on assignments from Hollywood to the White House, from Buckingham Palace to Beckinham palace.

“My work has been publ;ished all over the world and the subjects include politicians, presidents and Hollywood actors through to everyday people and events,” Lewis told Inside Croydon.

“I was fortunate to cover some of the US elections last year and some of the images that will be on display in the exhibition at the Clocktower gallery in January are of President Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. Other images are members of the royal family, Barack Obama, Malala to David Beckham, Lady Gaga and many more.

“This will be the first time that most of these images have ever been framed and displayed. I’m excited to have my home town be the first to see them.”

• The exhibition at Croydon Clocktower, next to the Town Hall, is open Mondays to Saturdays in January (except Bank Holiday New Year’s Day), from  9am to 4pm. Admission is free.
