The Revel Puck Circus is a contemporary circus company from east London known for its high-energy, inclusive shows.
And they are bringing their latest production, A Glimmer Daze Gambit, to Croydon.
The Revel Puck Big Top will land at Norwood Recreation Ground for a limited one-week run from Thursday August 20 to Sunday August 23, when they will be “bringing a joyful, high-spectacle circus experience to families, arts lovers and people new to circus”.
A Glimmer Daze Gambit is a show about hope, arrival and community, the company says.
“Stella and Kit have finally arrived at their dream home – a circus. Desperate to join the troupe, they’ve brought everything they think they might need. Having never seen a circus before, they’ve had to imagine what might be of use.”
Presented in Revel Puck’s signature style, this is high-spectacle, largely non-verbal storytelling through mime, clowning and acrobatics. The show is designed to be welcoming for a wide range of audiences, including families and those discovering circus for the first time.
The cast brings together a collective of grassroots London-based and international circus artists, including performers from Argentina, the United States, Ethiopia and Canada.
With a limited run in Croydon, audiences are encouraged to book early. Tickets and information are available at https://www.tixr.com/groups/revelpuckcircus.
Tickets for the two shows on Thursday, August 20 (4.30pm and 7pm) are just £10 each (plus booking fee). But hurry: once they’re gone, they’re gone.
Tickets for other performances range in price from £11.33 to VIP tix at £28.90.
