Early opening: Muffin Break, near West Croydon Station, opened for business last Friday, a week ahead of schedule
Muffin Break, the fresh bakery café chain, has opened its first Croydon branch, and managed to do so a week earlier than originally announced.
The new North End branch, near Marks and Spencer and close to West Croydon Station, started doing business on Friday. Following a £300,000 investment on the premises, the café has created 15 jobs.
When Muffin Break announced that they were moving in to Croydon, they originally planned to open on November 6. But they opened their doors to their first customers last Friday.

Fresh offering: Muffin Break’s owners say they are confident about their busy new site
Part of the Foodco UK Group, Muffin Break has been serving customers across Britain for more than 25 years and is known for baking fresh products on site throughout the day. The company already has more than 100 branches around the country.
The Croydon café offers a wide range of hand-made muffins, cakes and savouries, alongside made-to-order brunches, freshly prepared light lunch options and premium coffee made with Arabica beans.
“Designed as a warm, contemporary space, the café will cater for shoppers, commuters, workers and visitors looking for everything from a quick morning coffee to a relaxed catch-up or lunch,”.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the Croydon community through our doors,” said Fodco UK’s Michael Johnson.
