stop and searchA new group, the Croydon Stop and Search Community Monitoring Group, was formed in May to provide independent oversight of stops and search conducted in the borough.

If you wish to get involved or to talk about a grievance you may have, please email croydonsands@gmail.com or phone or text the chairwoman, Marzia Nicodemi, on 07940 415532.

“Your voice will be heard. It is a promise,” Nicodemi said.

    A worthwhile cause, good luck with it Marzia. Will be difficult to make the support known to the most likely subjects of stop and search though, would be interesting to hear more about any plans for overcoming that.

  2. I really don’t mind being stopped and searched. I have nothing to hide. Those who complain about crime shouldn’t complain about stop and search.
