The Lakes Playground Action Group was formed in 2013 with the aim of providing a better play experience for children who visit South Norwood Lake and Grounds. The existing play area was last upgraded many years ago.
They say, “Join us for our annual meeting on Tuesday February 17, at 8pm at the Waterside Centre, Avenue Road, SE25 4DX (at the lake entrance to the park) to find out how we’re progressing towards the goal of a rejuvenated, inspiring and inclusive play space and what our plans are for the coming year.
“We have begun raising money through grant funding including our first award from the Lloyds Bank Community Fund and we’re well on our way. We will have playground designs to review and plans for upcoming community events to discuss.
“We also have committee posts up for election and are inviting any interested volunteers to stand.
“We all pitch in to support each other, so there will be opportunities to get involved in every aspect of LPAG’s work. If you’d like to know more, or want to offer support in another capacity, please get in touch lakesplay@hotmail.co.uk.”
