Care home company give year’s sponsorship to cancer charity

South East Cancer Help Centre has been given another great reason to celebrate during its Paint Purley Purple fund-raising month.

Some of SECHC’s fund-raisers turning Purley purple this month

Cinnamon Care Collection, who are opening Rokewood Court Care Home in Kenley, have undertaken to sponsor a SECHC member for a whole year.

“We are delighted to sponsor SECHC,” said Rokewood’s Jackie Cridlin. “A local charity who support residents living in and around Purley, we are proud to volunteer our time with this team of dedicated people who can make a big difference to some one’s life when affected by cancer.”

SECHC members can choose from a range of therapies and activities at the Purley-based charity, including hypnotherapy, reiki, aromatherapy, reflexology, yoga, tai chi, drama, relaxation, and arts and crafts.

SECHC offers bereavement, family, telephone and individual counselling sessions and there are various support groups including specific ones for those with ovarian, bowel, prostate, or breast cancer.

SECHC Fundraiser, Natalie Mulcahy, said “We cannot thank Cinnamon enough.  The £600 is a very generous donation and will make a huge difference to someone’s life.  As we receive no government funding it is very important to us that local businesses and the community support us.”

If you would like to sponsor a member, therapist or make a donation towards a therapy session please contact Natalie on 020 8668 0974 or go to www.sechc.org.uk to find out how you can help fundraise for SECHC.
