NHS advice and help to avoid loneliness over summer holidays

The NHS website offers advice to teens during the summer holidays on different ways to cope with loneliness and isolation:

  1. Keep in touch with friends and family on a regular basis
  2. Join a group or club
  3. Do things you enjoy, helping to take your mind off it
  4. Share your feelings with others
  5. Connect with others or volunteer to help
  6. Invite someone along to activities near you

The website also recommends the following organisations for further support:

NSPCC – Free 11-week course for young people, available on website
