    This will probably mean more work for Jose Joseph and his tireless Kairali volunteer litter pickers………?!

    • Responsible Europeans tidy up and take their litter home with them, Jim, where they will carefully sort it for recycling, before rubbish contractors Veolia then stick it in the incinerator

    Is the fume-belching incinerator in Beddington already operating at capacity? As
    Veolia are so keen on taking all rubbish (general rubbish, recycling AND Food waste) to the incinerator, why:
    a) don’t they empty more bins more often (they only empty our recycling bin twice a year), and
    b) how can they justify not emptying bins they consider to be “contaminated” when all the rubbish is going to the same place anyway ?
