Muffin Break makes £300,000 move into Croydon’s North End

Take a break: Muffin Break opens in Croydon on November 6, after a £300,000 investment

Muffin Break is to open a café in Croydon next month, bringing its fresh bakery to one of the town centre’s busiest locations in Croydon, right next to Marks and Spencer on North End.

The Friday, November 6, opening represents a £300,000 investment and will create up to 15 jobs, with recruitment underway.

Part of the Foodco UK Group, Muffin Break has been serving customers across Britain for more than 25 years and is known for baking fresh products on site throughout the day. The company already has more than 100 branches around the country.

The Croydon café will offer a wide range of handcrafted muffins, cakes and savouries, alongside made-to-order brunches, freshly prepared light lunch options and premium coffee made with 100% Arabica beans.

Designed as a warm, contemporary space, the café will cater for shoppers, commuters, workers and visitors looking for everything from a quick morning coffee to a relaxed catch-up or lunch.

“Croydon is a strong location for Muffin Break,” said Foodco UK’s Michael Johnson.

“This opening reflects our continued investment in well-positioned locations, while creating lemployment and giving customers a fresh, high-quality bakery café experience. We look forward to opening our doors in November and becoming part of the Croydon community.”

Bit risky investing £300k in North End innit? I hope those muffins are being kept behind a protective security screen…

“Designed as a warm, contemporary space, the café will cater for shoppers….. to a relaxed catch-up or lunch.”

There is nothing relaxed in that area..besides is this the same North End we are talking about? Surely they have been hoodwinked by Mayor Perry’s promotional lies because they will almost certainly need a secirity guard at the door like all of the Greggs shops in Croydon.

Besides …just what Croydon needs ….another coffee shop! 🤣

  3. Great news. I’m a frequent customer of Muffin Break. I’m pleased to hear that I won’t need to go so far in future.
