According to the Crystal Palace FC website this evening, the deal for the takeover of the club by consortium CPFC2010, formed by businessmen and lifelong Palace fans Steve Parish and Martin Long, has been agreed.
David “Kid” Jensen, Palace’s celebrity fan with close contact with the consortium, has confirmed via Twitter that the deal’s been done, and that there is, as yet, no CPFC2010 statement.
So begins a long and complex regulatory process, incolving the administrators and the Football League, as well as usual due diligence. This, according to the club’s website, could take until the end of July.
