Cry God for Harry, England and the Upper Norwood Library

The Upper Norwood Library Campaign chose St George’s Day to rally all its supporters to start to lobby candidates of all the parties in next month’s local elections to fight for increased funding for the library.

Uppr Norwood Library St George's day“The Library is at the heart of our comm- unity,” Robert Gibson, from the library campaign group, said.

“Traditionally it was funded jointly by Lambeth and Croydon councils but it has always served members of all five boroughs that make up our community.

“Let’s raise the profile of our library as an important political issue,” Gibson said. “The Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Crystal Palace Question Time Local Election event on  May 7 at 7pm at the Queen’s Hotel. It would be fantastic if you were able to attend. Please ensure the voice of Crystal Palace is heard and resonates loudly at the heart of all our
respective boroughs.”
